John Scott, a consultant for Risk Worldwide, is honored to be involved with the organization team for the National Black Caucus of State Legislators’ 35th Annual Legislative Conference, which will be held December 7-11, 2011, at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel in Chicago.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Seeing Beyond – State Leadership, National Progress.” The annual conference provides legislators, business and labor leaders, advocates, and public policy experts an opportunity to interact and discuss current legislative issues affecting under-served, and impoverished communities, and the nation as a whole. Legislators hear from experts in a variety of fields including agriculture, education, health, energy, and housing. Most importantly, legislators vote on substantive policy resolutions that can help frame legislation in our respective states and the U.S. Congress.
